About the Work
Jonathan Greenberg is an artist based in Nosara, Costa Rica. Working with exotic Costa Rican hardwoods and pigmented epoxy, he builds one-of-a-kind pieces that recreate coastlines from Costa Rica and around the world - the grain of the wood forming the land, the resin holding the water.
The goal of each piece is simple: to bring back the feeling of standing on coastlines from around the world. Collectors and designers choose the work because it carries that memory of place, and because no two pieces can ever be repeated.
Site-specific commissions are welcome - built to your dimensions, palette, and the coastline your project calls for. Studio visits are welcome by appointment.
